Gal in the museum’ and other castle stories – guidance through the museum

The program where children explore the museum through stories and works of art. At first they get to know Gal the dwarf and works of art in the museum, by displaying them on a screen. What follows is a visit where stories such as the origin of the Škofja Loka ’hump’, ‘Kamniti most’ (‘The Stoney Bridge’), the castle tower, etc. are relayed to children. Children can also see "črna kuhinja" (‘Black Kitchen’) in the Ethnological collection, or the animals of Loka territory in the Natural Science collection.

A buried treasure – a guided tour through the old city centre
The program takes part in the old city centre and the cultural monuments of Škofja Loka are represented to children in a relaxed atmosphere. Children gather together in the castle yard where they are welcomed by a guide of the museum. Then they start looking for the treasure on the already outlined path. They get to know ‘Loški Grad’(Loka Castle), the city wall, ‘Kamniti most’ the old school, Homan’s house, etc. In the end, children are awarded for their effort. .
