The guided tour of France Mihelič Gallery, the painter’s permanent collection
This is a guided visit to the collection of artistic works which were given by the painter as a present to his birthplace, Škofja Loka. The painter’s painting opus forms the majority of the collection.  It originates from the 1970’s and contains the famous thematic sections, such as ‘Dafne’, ‘Kurent’, ‘Ure’ and ‘Muzikanti’.

The ‘Visoko’ tour – the visit to Tavčar’s (Visoko) home
The visit to Tavčar’s manor (the outer part), the vault and the monument (the work of the academic sculptor Jakob Savinšek) in Poljanska dolina. His home belonged for more than 250 years to the Kalan family, which Tavčer describes in ‘Visoška kronika’.

The lessons in archaeology, history, history of literature, and ethnology – the museum lessons
The lessons are designed thematically according to the contents of the individual museum collections (the archaeological, history, culturalhistory and ethnological collection).  The introductory explanation about a certain theme is followed by working on prepared exercises. These worksheets, as an integral part of the museum lessons, are connected with the curriculum of the school subjects, such as History, Geography, Slovenian Language, Housekeeping lessons, Art education, etc. You can choose between the archaeological, historical (‘Loško gospostvo’. The Castles. The City. ‘Cehi’.), culturalhistory (Dr. Ivan Tavčar), and the ethnological lesson (Crossword 1 and 2). One worksheet is included in the price.

‘Pisana Loka’ – a lesson in the old city centre
This is the lesson where the young get to know the monuments of the medieval Škofja loka. The introductory explanation about a certain theme is followed by working on the prepared exercises.
