You are invited to a guided tour of the exhibition Shadows Without Bodies, Images Without Authors by a visual artist Oliver Pilić.
During the Family Week from 15 to 22 May, admission to the Škofja Loka Museum for families is free.
Do you know how many animals live in our forests? Can you name ten of them? Join us for a workshop by Škofja Loka museum on Friendship Day, where we will create and learn about animals that live in the forest, from the smallest to the largest. As a symbol of our connection with the forest, we will also make a Friendship Tree together.

In her exhibition of paintings and collages, Agata Pavlovec explores her own identity and delves into the layers of an individual’s personality that are revealed through darkness, shadow and various adopted social roles. The exhibition challenges viewers to reflect on how shadow, darkness and social masking are not merely hidden and mysterious realms; they are spaces of exploration that allow an individual to confront the uncomfortable and often overlooked parts of the self and thus gain a deeper self-understanding.
On the 120th anniversary of the birth of painter Franc Košir, we are preparing a small exhibition featuring five of his works from the museum’s depot.
Join us for a Castle Matinee! Every last Saturday of the month, you take a guided tour of our permanent collections and get to know the rich natural and cultural heritage of the Škofja Loka area, and afterwards have a cup of coffee (with a coupon) at the Škofja Loka Castle Cafe while enjoying an excellent view of the medieval town.
