A Guided Tour of the Museum Collection Lazy Bums, Be More Like the Busy Little Bee Foraging for Food with Glee!

On World Bee Day, which was declared by the United Nations in 2017 at the initiative of Slovenia, we invite you to take a walk through the museum collection Lazy Bums, Be More Like the Busy Little Bee Foraging for Food with Glee! with our curator Mojca Šifrer Bulovec. The collection is dedicated to Carniolan honey bees. It presents their living environment, members of the honey bee colonies, bee products and how bees and humans make them. The collection highlights the importance of bees in pollination and explains the possible consequences of the bees’ endangered status due to pollution and climate change, as well as the role bees play in the Slovenian cultural heritage.
