Commemorating the Birth of Franc Košir (1906–1981)

On the 120th anniversary of the birth of painter Franc Košir, we are preparing a small exhibition featuring five of his works from the museum’s depot. The event is conceived both as a tribute and as a professional presentation: the selected works raise questions that will be explored more comprehensively in an interdisciplinary autumn exhibition on the interwar period in the Škofja Loka region, in which Košir’s oeuvre will be placed within the broader social and cultural context of the time.
