At the workshop, which will take place as part of this year's European Cultural Heritage Days and the Naša kuhna project, the master baker will demonstrate the process of kneading bread, and then we will shape our own piece of dough and bake it in the bread oven of Škopar's house. In the meantime, the guide will introduce us to the symbolism, customs and folk knowledge associated with bread. While our bread is being baked, we will take a look at the mill in the open-air museum in the castle garden and learn about the old procedures of how to get from grain to flour and porridge in the mill. In the company of the guide, we will also visit ethnological museum collections and get to know the food and living culture of small farmers from the wider Loka area in the period from the 16th to the end of the 19th century.
