Graphic Workshop

We will gather in front of Kašča and see the works of art in the collection of France Mihelič, donated by the artrist to his home town of Škofja Loka. Mihelič is one of the most expressive and original Slovenian artists, depicting motifs from the real and dream world, from the memories of his childhood and the birthplace of Virmaše near Škofja Loka. During the tour, we will focus mainly on his graphic works, woodcuts with mythological content. Mihelič was also a great master of color graphics. According to him, we will pay special attention to his best graphic Chronicler.

We will then head to the museum courtyard for a grafphic workshop. We will draw in moosi rubber with a pencil and make handprints of the matrix on paper. We will also learn to sign graphic sheets correctly and, like real graphics, create a smaller edition of graphics. Motifs for graphic works will of course be found in Mihelič's art!
