19th-Century Arts in the Škofja Loka Area

You can also visit the exhibition 19th-Century Arts in the Škofja Loka Area, which presents artistic activities in the Škofja Loka area in the 19th century, covering the topics of secular and ecclesiastic painting and sculpture, folk art, collecting and monument protection. The content, which highlights some of the characteristics of Slovenian and European arts and culture, is divided into eight chapters; individual subchapters provide in-depth insight into artistic endeavours directly related to the Škofja Loka area.

Join us on Sunday, May 18th, from 10 AM to 5 PM, when the Friendship Day children’s festival will take place in front of the Visoko Manor in the Poljane Valley. This year’s main theme will be herbalism. The Škofja Loka Museum is participating with a creative workshop on making a one-of-a-kind herb foraging basket.

About International Family Day and Week

In 1994, the UN General Assembly declared May 15 the International Day of Families. The Association of Families within the Slovenian Association of Friends of Youth is celebrating it for the twenty-third time this year. During this time, Family Day has been extended to Family Week, which runs from May 15 to 22. With it, he wants to enable families to view free and temporary exhibitions, performances and other events in cultural and artistic organizations throughout Slovenia.
