Opening of the Exhibition “The Heritage of the Craftsman: 15 Stories from Museum Etar and 2 Stories from Škofja Loka Museum”

By showcasing the intersection of Bulgarian and Slovenian artisanal traditions, the exhibition “The Heritage of the Craftsman: 15 Stories from Museum Etar and 2 Stories from Škofja Loka Museum” tells a shared story about craftsmanship, creativity and preservation of cultural heritage. It presents fifteen traditional Bulgarian crafts – including pottery, jewellery making, saddlery, furriery, mutafchiistvo, hlopkarstvo, woodcarving, icon painting, gaitandzhiystvo, woodturning, bladesmithing, confectionery, baking, making musical instruments, coppersmithing – and two local Škofja Loka stories – basketry and tanning, which are an important part of the history of local crafts and their modern-day continuation.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Tine Radinja, Mayor of the Municipality of Škofja Loka.
