By showcasing the intersection of Bulgarian and Slovenian artisanal traditions, the exhibition “Craftsmen’s Heritage: Fifteen Bulgarian and Two Slovenian Stories” tells a shared story about craftsmanship, creativity and preservation of cultural heritage. It presents fifteen traditional Bulgarian crafts – including shoemaking, pottery, weaving, mead and honey-bread making, milling and metalworking – and two local Škofja Loka stories – basketry and tanning, which are an important part of the history of local crafts and their modern-day continuation.

Programme:

18:00: opening remarks and formal inauguration of the exhibition at the Škofja Loka Museum

16:00–20:00: craft fair in front of the Arts & Crafts Center Škofja Loka
