Opening of Windows of Imagination

Windows of Imagination is a shared initiative that brings together organisations and individuals from Škofja Loka’s creative and cultural scene every December – this year for the eleventh time.

Together we invite visitors to stroll through the medieval streets and squares, to explore exhibitions, enjoy relaxed conversations with artists and artisans, and find thoughtful, personally crafted gifts.

Fifteen venues in the old town centre will open their doors to everyone wishing to escape crowded shopping centres and discover unique festive treasures. The façades of participating spaces – and, of course, their shop windows – will be decorated in a special way, making them easy to spot from afar.

By visiting, you support mindful shopping: gifts and small tokens of appreciation created locally and made with great care by dedicated artists and craftspeople.

At the Ivan Grohar Gallery, you'll be able to buy products and souvenirs from the Museum Shop, inspired by the collections and exhibitions of the Škofja Loka Museum, as well as artworks made by local artists.

Visit us on 3 December between 10:00 and 20:00, and on the remaining days during the gallery’s regular opening hours – Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 14:00, and on Wednesdays until 17:00.
