Rather than specific content and motives, Renata and Bogdana were looking for a place or an opportunity where the singing of folk songs and the telling of folk stories would meet. Since they found themselves in a similar mythical representation of the world and life, the common themes offered themselves: not only are their souls rooted in the Tolmin hills, they are connected by the call of singing and telling those folk contents that both of them think are worth giving them space in collective memory.

The questions that arise in the selection of their narratives transcend generational and general temporal boundaries and seem eternal: with what justification does a mother kill her child? What are the ways in which women save their souls and bodies? How many times does a woman's beauty and wisdom have to hide under her skin because it would be too dangerous for her to live otherwise? Where in our collective unconscious does the cowherd still live and where does the incestuous king rule?

Everything they sang and told, Andrea translated into music to create a coherent sounding narrative.

Performers: Renata Lapanja (story), Bogdana Herman (folk song), Andrea Pandolfo (music)
