At the Ivan Grohar Gallery visual artist Erik Mavrič is exhibiting eight works of art drawn between 2021 and 2023, half of which he has already shown at the Long Black Summer exhibition in the lapidarium of the Božidar Jakac Art Museum in Kostanjevica na Krki. The remaining four are presented to the public for the first time in Škofja Loka.

The Škofja Loka Musuem at the at the Friendship Day Children's Festival
At this year's Friendship Day, the Škofja Loka Museum will organise a workshop where we will develop creative and sports skills. We will make balls out of paper, paint and decorate them with colored paper, and try scoring a basket!
After a successful flight over Kranj with the representatives of the third life period, the flock of experienced birds moves to Škofja Loka and spreads its impressions, experiences and stories among its inhabitants. The flock equally opens up the views and captures the memories of all its representatives, joins them together and, with the help of dialogue, creates the story of the city.

The guest of the second artist talk, at the France Mihelič Gallery, will be the prominent painter, graphic artist and pioneer of the airbrush technique in Slovenia – Berko.

His oeuvre spanning over thirty years is focused on the ever-topical themes of ideology, religion, history, the role of arts, the artist, ethics and humankind. The artist uses a variety of media, such as spatial installation, video, printmaking, sound, painting, sculpture, performance, happening, photography etc.
