We kindly invite you to the opening of the exhibition Invisible Companions by the painter Barbara Kastelec at the Ivan Grohar Gallery.
The exhibition Around the Crngrob Church – a Treasure Trove of Frescoes presents twelve frescoes from different periods, between the late 13th and the mid-19th centuries.
In the lecture, we will get to know Franja Tavčar not only as a social and humanitarian activist, but we will also get to know her private life, her relationship with Ivan and her life in Visoko.

The Grand textile installation Soil, Seed deals with the question of our relationship to the soil and the seeds. It reveals the meanings and symbolism of seeds, emphases the importance of the preservation of ecosystems, biodiversity … Just self-sufficiency movements and community practices that show an alternative to otherwise seemingly possible endless growth are awakening the authors answer these questions. In their own way through joint work, solution-seeking and creativity.

As part of the European Days of Archeology, we will take you through our archeological collection and have a taste of some Roman delicacies. We invite you to join us in uncovering the oldest periods of human past!
The exhibition features the personal stories of the participants in the workshops prepared by Zavod Tri, a Škofja Loka-based non-governmental organisation focused on sustainable community practices. The stories are written in three languages – Slovenian, English and the participants’ mother tongues – and depicted on embroidered canvases.
