We will take a look what Škofja Loka was like in the post-war period, how it was rebuilt, its economic development, how culture developed and what art marked that time and how the path led us to independence in 1991.

You are invited to the virtual opening of the exhibition From Liberation to Independence in the Castle Gallery and permanent collections. The exhibition presents the development of Škofja Loka and its surroundings from 1945 to 1991.
Erotic Stripped Stories will excite our imagination! The narrators Barbara Zonta and Rok Kušlan will tell us some romantically dreamy, hot and wild, as well as funny stories. Jelena Ždrale and Andraž Polič will provide juicy musical accompaniment on violin and guitar!
The museum living room will host a talk with Katja Bogataj, a multimedia artist and member of the Škofja Loka Artists' Association, whose latest spatial installation Wrapped in a Cocoon is currently on view at the at the Ivan Grohar Gallery. The talk will be led by the exhibition curator Boštjan Soklič.
The curator of the Photo Loka exhibition Miha Colner will talk about the pioneer of artistic photography August Berthold with his heir, the architect Matej Vozlič, who set up a working studio with his partner in Berthold's former photography studio in Ljubljana.
