You're invited to the opening of the exhibitions at the Loški Museum, part of this year's BIEN Textile Art Biennial.
Did you know that the Church of the Annunciation in Crngrob is one of the oldest pilgrimage churches in Slovenia and one of the three European churches where whale ribs are kept?
You can find out these and many other interesting facts and legends on Saturday, 7 June 2025, at 11.00 am. Join us for a guided tour through the history of the Crngrob church!

This year, the Škofja Loka Museum will once again participate in the medieval event Historial, which showcases the material and cultural heritage of Škofja Loka and presents the traditions of various guilds. These guilds still inspire different activities in local and artistic crafts today. The central theme of this year's Historial will be the stories of once-important craft houses on Spodnji trg (Lower Square), aiming to introduce visitors to its unique characteristics and historical role.
Join us for a walk through the castle garden, where you'll find a lapidarium with preserved architectural elements from the former Parish Church of St. Martin in Poljane nad Škofjo Loko.

Join us for a Castle Matinee! Every last Saturday of the month, you take a guided tour of our permanent collections and get to know the rich natural and cultural heritage of the Škofja Loka area, and afterwards have a cup of coffee (with a coupon) at the Škofja Loka Castle Cafe while enjoying an excellent view of the medieval town.
You are cordially invited to the opening of the exhibition by the academic sculptor Metod Frlic. The exhibition will present the artist’s recent works, grouped into different sets of works that were created simultaneously.
On Wednesday, 21 May 2025, you are invited to join us for the opening of the exhibition “We Were Served a Most Sumptuous Feast.” The Pubs of Škofja Loka in the 19th Century, which will take place in the Round Tower at the Škofja Loka Castle.
On Sunday, 18 May, the Friendship Day children’s festival will take place in front of the Visoko Mansion in the Poljane Valley between 10:00 and 17:00. This year’s main theme will be herbalism.
