In the storytelling event, the narrator and the musician will focus on the brigther as well as the darker sides of the the human soul. They will intertwine folk, personal and literary stories in which the characters are placed before decisions, seek revenge, watch death, but also see hope, love and - a sense of humor.

In her lecture Dr Asta Vrečko will focus on the history of artist associations in Slovenia in times of social change and their role. She will especially focus on the time when Škofja Loka Artist Association was formed.

We kindly invite you to the public guidance though the solo intermedia exhibition of Tomaž Furlan's latest art opus Breakfast on a Morning Train II. carried out by the artist himself and the exhibition curator Barbara Sterle Vurnik.

On Prešeren Day we are preparing a varied program for a wide variety of visitors. Admission is free, you can visit the Škofja Loka Museum, the Ivan Grohar Gallery and the France Mihelič Gallery between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm.

Katja Pinter Željko will take us into the world of fairy tales and discover what special heroes, including the King with Dirty Feet, have to tell us.

We invite you to the presentation of the catalogue of the exhibition 40+ ... Through Time and Beyond ... which will be presented by ZUŠL president and co-editor of the catalogue Agata Pavlovec, followed by an appearance by actor and ZUŠL member Igor Žužek, who will interpret the poetry and prose of ZUŠL members. The evening will be concluded with a guided tour of the 40+ ... Through Time and Beyond ... exhibition, led by one of the exhibition's curators, Boštjan Soklič.

We will follow the guide through the 40+ ... Skozi čas in naprej ... exhibition getting to know the rich artistic activity of the Škofja Loka artists. This will be followed by a workshop in the castle gallery, where children will choose their favorite picture, draw it and give it their own touch.

The three storytellers, each in her own style, will tell the story of the heroines, the insubordinate, rebellious, persistent, those who do not wait for their fate to happen but take it bravely and sometimes boldly into their own hands. They will tell stories about women on a journey full of transformations, trials, difficult tasks and not always happy ends.

On Saturday, 14 December, from 9am to 1pm, Zavod O, Zavod škofjeloške mladine, is organising the Winter Day of Four Seasons. A number of activities will take place in the Trg pod gradom Square: presentation of French and Slovenian winter customs, traditional food of both countries, games and workshops for children and families.
